So, I Answered a Photoshop Calling…

With The Game’s Jesus Piece and Big Boi’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors coming out tomorrow, Music Mondays will again take place on Tuesday.

So, Washington Redskins RB Alfred Morris recently did an AMA on Reddit. He’s had a wonderful season, ranking fourth overall in rushing yards. But really third overall in rushing yards for a human since Adrian Peterson is a robot who was built to play football.

Anyways, the top comment was the classic Reddit AMA question…

First of all, great answer, second of all, this oddly enough got more attention that just /r/NFL.

In fact, this story caught the attention of Sarah Kogod, a writer for the Washington Post-hosted DC Sports Blog. The result is a contest calling all photoshop/football enthusiasts. Which just so happens to be right up my alley. Through a pre-Superbowl XLVI photoshop battle, I have a fair amount of throwing together random football and non-football-related images.

This particular contest posed the two options from the Apples212’s question, and since Alfred Morris chose Clay Matthews as the answer, I chose it for my photoshop target. The result:

AlfredvsClay

Ah yes, taking Morris’ classic baseball swing celebration to turn him into a sword-wielding machine. I was pretty surprised that Clay Matthews as a centaur didn’t previously exist on Google images, but oh well. Oh yeah, they’re also in space because there’s no bigger stage than the final frontier.

When it comes down to it, I have an unfair advantage over possible other competitors because I have too much free time on my hands. I also tweeted this at Alfred Morris, who hopefully won’t be weirded out by it. But probably will. I mean…I would be.

Anyways, it’s already gotten some love on Reddit…

So hopefully, this means some love over at the DC Sports Blog. Because winning a photoshop contest would be pretty funny. And something I could almost consider throwing on some sort of resume or portfolio or…Facebook. Facebook is where this would belong.

Make the right decision, America.

UPDATE

It was not actually a contest, who knew? Regardless, my effort was featured…among some…lesser…photoshop jobs. But anyways, it’s there! So at least there’s that? And all the delicious karma that came with it.

Here’s the link to the story on the DC Sports Blog.
